About
Colonel Sarjeet Yadav hails from Pataudi, Haryana, where his parents' transition from farming to education instilled in him values of discipline, learning, and long-term institution building. He joined the National Defence Academy in 1994 and was commissioned into the Army Air Defence of the Indian Army in 1998 from the Indian Military Academy.
Over a 22-year Army career, he served across operational, strategic, and diplomatic roles. Deputed to Rashtriya Rifles in Jammu & Kashmir, he was awarded the Sena Medal (Gallantry) and the Chief of Army Staff Commendation Card for counter-terror operations. He later served with Assam Rifles, playing a key role in negotiating the surrender of multiple militant groups in Manipur. As First Secretary at the Embassy of India in Cairo, he worked at the intersection of diplomacy, security, and geopolitics, witnessing the Arab Spring firsthand.
Following voluntary retirement in July 2020, he completed his MBA from the Indian School of Business. He subsequently led large-scale education initiatives across rural Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, built the F&B brand "Dosa Coffee" in NCR from the ground up, and managed a ₹400 Crore listed Aerospace & Defence equity portfolio, delivering returns meaningfully above benchmark.
He co-created MountTech Growth Fund - Kavachh, a $60 million Category II AIF focused on Aerospace & Defence, leading investments in GalaxEye Space Solutions, EON Space Labs, Inspecity Labs, Coratia Tech, and DeepLASE. He is a NISM-certified Alternative Investment Fund Manager (Series XIX-C).
